'Uw Website Kan Mooier' (‘Your website can be improved’) has transformed into the state-of-the-art professional IT company UWKM. With a specialised, growing team of just about 20 employees we develop high-profile projects for our employers. This makes us small enough to be personally involved with our customers. And to be able to develop projects quickly, cost effectively and flexibly. However, we are large enough to effortlessly technically handle any complex and big projects. Most of our employers have been customers for many years.

We do things differently than many other agencies, because we strive to make the digital world as simple as possible. We achieve this by often building prototypes for our customers, free from costs or obligations, to make abstract cases clear in terms of content and visuals. With regards to technical quality, we are among the top of the Dutch market. Our corporate culture is that we do what we say and say what we do. We commit ourselves to agreements. 

Because we don't want to bind customers to ourselves due to (restricted) code, but because of the service we provide. The code will become complete property of the client. Customers won't have to pay another web application company to reinvent the same technical solutions for them at a later stage. Open source has big advantages when it comes to security (much less automatic hack attacks), speed, scalability, flexibility, costs etc. We mainly work with Django Python, Wagtail and Oscar. 

Depending on the needs of our customer, we decide on making a website, mobile website, web app or actual app, on what platform to launch it (mobile phone, tablet etc.), native or hybrid (cross platform for all mobile devices). We have ample experience with all these variants. 

When the functionality works like it should, findability may be even more important than good looks and content. There is an unbreakable bond between organic findability (SEO) and the advertised findability (SEA). We help make the right choices in this. Just like we do with realising the conversion of an established website or webshop.

Depending on how critical the digital presence is for a company, we make a cost-profit balance on how to give shape to the hosting. The choice is between the shared hosting of the website(s) or app(s) in question, with or without other parties, or rather independently from one another (dedicated). 

Namely, developments continue in high tempo. UWKM will take on your worries where they concern issues such as technical management, security updates and ssl certificates. We will help work within the AVG  (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming: the general law data protection, GDPR) and the ePrivacy law.

This is why we often temporarily employ some 'Wajongers' (young people with handicaps), to help them find and keep paid jobs. Wajong means (translated) the 'law for work and job coaching for young handicapped people'. Young handicapped people are people between 18 and 30 years old, who (seem to) have difficulties with work due to mental or physical limitations or illnesses. We focus on which opportunities there still are for certain jobs and tasks. To help our Wajongers find lasting employment in society.
